RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND
AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS, IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
NOS. 2021-06, 07, 08, 09, 10 AND 11, RYAN LAKE INDUSTRIAL PARK
AREA STREET, STORM DRAINAGE AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS AND
NORTHWEST AREA AND LYNDALE AVENUE AREA MILL AND
OVERLAY
WHEREAS, the Brooklyn Center City Council, by Resolution No. 2021-28,
ordered Improvement Project Nos. 2021-07 and authorized the preparation of plans and
specifications for the Lyndale Avenue Area Pavement Rehabilitation; and
WHEREAS, the Brooklyn Center City Council, by Resolution No. 2021-30,
ordered Improvement Project Nos. 2021-06 and authorized the preparation of plans and
specifications for the Northwest Area Mill and Overlay Improvements; and
WHEREAS, the Brooklyn Center City Council, by Resolution No. 2021-32,
ordered Improvement Project Nos. 2021-08, 09,10 and 11 and authorized the preparation of plans
and specifications for the Ryan Lake Industrial Park Area Street, Storm Drainage and Utility
Improvements; and
WHEREAS, said plans and specifications have been prepared under the direction
of the City Engineer.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that:
1. The plans and specifications for Improvement Project Nos. 2021-06, 07, 08,
09, 10 and 11 are hereby approved, ordered and filed with the City Clerk.
2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official
newspaper and in Finance and Commerce an advertisement for bids for the
making of such improvements in accordance with the approved plans and
specifications. The advertisement shall be published in accordance with
Minnesota Statutes, shall specify the work to be done and state the time and
location at which bids will be opened by the City Clerk and City Manager
or their designees. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during
consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the City
Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considered unless
sealed and filed with the City Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit,
cashier's check, bid bond, or certified check payable to the City of Brooklyn
Center for five percent of the amount of such bid.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member
Graves
and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Butler, Elliott, Graves, Lawrence -Anderson, Ryan
and the following voted against the same:
None
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
